I Only See Me

When I look in the mirror, her dark eyes a pond me,
Gleaming back, she wishes to be me… or just to be.
Lonely and broken… almost dead,
She looks back, and with me, she tilts her head.
I am happy and energetic, that’s how I see me,
But she knows that’s only what I pretend to be.
She knows me better then I ever could,
More then anyone ever should.
